One key consequence of give-away privatizations was that public housing in most post-socialist states declined within a few years to a residual share of total housing market. Despite the large differences in public/social housing policies introduced after 1995, this article will show that that almost all new social housing measures proved to be unsustainable, ineffective and often had the unintended consequence of further enhancing homeownership tenure in post-socialist housing systems.

Cílem článku je představit čtenářům amenitní migraci jako nový trend ve stěhování obyvatelstva. Výzkum amenitní migrace ilustruje důležitost hodnotových orientací a osobních preferencí migrantů pro jejich stěhování. Ukazuje ty případy, kdy migrace není motivována ekonomicky, ale spíše snahou o „lepší život“ v kvalitnějším prostředí. Základní charakteristiky amenitní migrace, jejích příčin a důsledků jsou doplněny stručným popisem amenitní migrace v Česku na příkladu regionu Prachaticka.

This study focuses on comparison of factors of job satisfaction within Europe. The rare comparative papers on this subject commonly compare Western Europe (WE) and Eastern Europe (EE) by pooling data on the two regions. By contrast, this analysis takes into account dis/similarities within each of the two regions. We use an ordered probit regression model based on European Social Survey 2010 and test the homogeneity of the two WE and EE regions.

The aim of the article is to critically reassess relation between moral and economy of agents from the poorest class. The relational concept of the poorest class designates here homeless, drug-users, and some poor individuals generally that all have common particular social practices on the one hand and a position within of the social space on the other hand.
