Studie se zabývá kvalitativním výzkumem prekoncepcí intaktních žáků o mentálním postižení. Na základě rozboru vinět a prostřednictvím hloubkových rozhovorů, které zahrnují Leventhalův pětidimenzionální model porozumění postižení, jsou u třech žáků ve věkové kohortě 10 - 15 let charakterizovány a analyzovány jejich prekoncepce. Výsledky poukazují na vývojové tendence v dětském myšlení o mentálním postižení.

Osoby s mentálním postižením tvoří skupinu zdravotně postižených, která je ve vysoké míře ohrožena sociálním vyloučením, tedy exkluzí, segregací a marginalizací. Jejich participace na dění v majoritní společnosti je ztížena z různých důvodů, například i proto, že jejich potřeby jsou často saturovány v nevyhovujícím ústavním prostředí, spíše než v přirozeném prostředí komunity.

Díky velkému množství dat, která měli autoři za posledních 20 let k dispozici, se jim naskytla příležitost zevrubně analyzovat pestrou škálu faktorů, které s pocitem bezpečí a obavami ze zločinu souvisejí, a popsat vývoj obou fenoménů v čase stejně jako pozici Čechů v rámci Evropy.

The aim of this manuscript is to analyze notions of democracy among Czech mayors. Czechia is dotted with municipalities of various sizes, each with its own mayor, each of whom has a vision of how democracy at the local level should be practiced. This study explores the acquiescent response style (ARS) among respondents in the Czech Republic. To analyse ARS, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was employed and the response style (RS) was modelled as a latent variable. The RS factor in the CFA model must be validated by its relationship to education and age, i.e. proxies of cognitive ability. The two studies presented in this article use large amount of data as all available balanced batteries of items were analysed.

This study explores youth accuracy judgments of disinformative and nondisinformative claims. Analyses are based on a nationally representative youth (16–20 years old) survey experiment conducted in the Czech Republic in 2017. When they were exposed to posts regarding refugee crisis, young people were asked to judge the accuracy of the statements accompanying the posts. Motivated reasoning of youth depended primarily on the alignment with the posts and the ideology of participants.
