The chapter describes creating and maintaining a data file during a research project. The author shows how to work with data in a step-by-step manner, starting with the creation of a data file, through to problems such as coding, weighing and data anonymization, and finishing up with the issue of data storage.

A description of Eurobarometer (EB), the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES), European Election Study (EES) and the Civic Education Study (CIVED) research programmes is provided. Tato práce se zabývá dvěma významnými fenomény – náboženstvím a žákovskými pojetími. Publikace se zabývá otázkou, jak evropské státy finančně podporují rodiny s dětmi a jak se tato podpora odráží na životní úrovni různých typů rodin a jak souhra sociálního systému a podmínek rodičům pomáhá se o své rodiny postarat. Dále se diskutuje otázka, jaký mají pohled na povinnosti státu samotní rodiče a jak do výpomoci s dětmi vstupují prarodiče. Mapovány jsou tedy jak fungování systému dávek a daní a situace na trhu práce, tak postoje rodičů a mezigenerační výpomoc.

This paper focuses on attitudes towards marriage and unmarried cohabitation and the diffusion of unmarried cohabitations and unmarried cohabitations with child in the Czech Republic. This paper examines long-term trends in fertility and recent reversals in natural increase, net migration, and general fertility across residential contexts in the post-communist Czech Republic. Long-term differentials are analysed on the cumulative fertility of cohorts whose fertility was completed before and after the change in political regime in 1989.
