Project duration:
2016

Volunteering is a form of civic engagement in which volunteers devote their time without claiming remuneration to community service or other people. Volunteering involves a large number of informal and activities involving various forms of interpersonal solidarity, typically neighborhood or intergenerational assistance. However, volunteering also has an institutionalized form in which volunteers participate in activities in more or less organized groups or are organized and backed by an umbrella organization. The goal of the project is to provide evidence of the extent of volunteering, the social composition of the volunteer population, the motivation for volunteering and the possibilities of recruiting new volunteers.
