Tato stať si klade za cíl popsat současný trend ve vývoji nerovností v přístupu k terciárnímu vzdělání v České republice. Na základě znalostí o současných i předlistopadových politických a institucionálních reformách jsme nastolili hypotézu, podle které období stabilních nerovností za socialismu bylo vystřídáno obdobím rostoucích nerovností během post-komunistické transformace. Tato hypotéza byla potvrzena.

The authors aim to propose more effective design of housing subsidies in the Czech Republic. In the first part of the publication was made an attempt to assess housing shortage in the Czech Republic, next follows the comparison of first- and second generation rent control, social housing and housing allowance. The authors tried to propose the best design of second generation rent control, social housing and housing allowance for the CR.

Second, a variety of measurements that reveal different faces of poverty are presented. Fourth, the working poor are examined and compared with non-working poor

The artical verifies interconnectedness between interpersonal trust and trust in political institutions (Rose, Mishler), using survey data from Czech republic (Aktér 2001). The results demonstrate that while trust in institutions is strongly connected to the democratic system, interpersonal trust doesn´t relate much to institutional trust either to democracy.
