Project duration:
2002 - 2003

Cílem projektu je studium individuálních či rodinných reemigrací zahraničních Čechů v 90. letech 20. století, zejména těch, kteří republiku opustili v období vlády komunistického režimu a odešli do vyspělých zemí . Dále budou studovány procesy adaptace a integrace reemigrantů do majoritního českého prostředí a vzájemného hodnotového ovlivňování, konflikt v cizině získaných hodnotových schémat s mentalitou soudobé české společnosti . Projekt bude vycházet z pozic kvalitativní ekonomické sociologie a sociální antropologie, bude však integrovat i teoretické poznatky dalších humanitních disciplín (psychologie, politologie, historie); hlavním zdrojem dat budou nestandardizované rozhovory a antropologicky vymezené zúčastněné pozorování spojené s hustým popisem.

Nešpor, Zdeněk R.

The article provides a strong theoretical basis for a study of Czech emigration to the West and the return of the emigrants in the 1990s, which spreads from P. Berger´s and T. Luckmann´s theory of socialization, and compares it with a point of view of socio-economics, seen as the most useful research method of this particular field. The author attempts to explain why the emigrants decide to return, including the consequence of their prosperity abroad and their attitudes to modern capitalism.
