Care work is neither socially recognized, nor equitably economically rewarded. It is performed by those lacking opportunities at formal labor market. Exploiting informal paid care workers is often the only (and even state supported) strategy of combining care and work and provision of care in middle class families. Changes in organization of care open questions on individualism, ethnicity, gender, marginalization, exclusion, inclusion, migration, citizenship and inequalities.
