The study is devoted to the phenomenon of party identification, and the development of party identification in the Czech republic from 1996 to 2000 and its relationship to voting behaviour. It describes positive party identification, which is understood as a positive relationship toward the party voted for, and negative party identification, which is understood as a negative relationship toward all parties but the one voted for.
