Podle nedávno publikované projekce Českého statistického úřadu se v příštích 50 letech se počet obyvatel Prahy zvýší o 411 tisíc. Zvýší se doba dožití, ženy budou rodit v pozdějším věku a bude více dětí. Přirozený přírůstek však bude tvořit pouze 64 tisíc obyvatel.
